Just last week, on April 24, 2018, 13 of our interns from University of Mindanao’s Bachelor of Arts in
English program marched to the beat of the marching bands at SMX Lanang Convention Center among
with 4000 other students of the said university.
The said interns, Philip Aristoteles, Luiggi Angeles, Kristine Bedanio, Jocel Beldia, Yolexelle Davao, Dennie Belle Valle, Pauline Gocotano, Candice Lleses, Jean Quilon, Eliza Sacatani, Whitney Temon, Beverly Faelden, Shaira Tayapad and John Deocariza, from the College of Arts and Sciences Education spend 100 hours of their internship in DLA as ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers for Japanese students.
“Never too late, never too early. Everyone has its own time phase. Don’t rush, seize your moment ‘coz you’ll surely miss it when time comes. The 4 years struggles in college ends here. Looking forward to more struggles to come,” says Ms. Gocotano on one of her facebook posts. Hard work and perseverance surely were the main forces that pushed these talented young minds t push through boundaries and overcome all the challenges thrown on their way to this faithful day.
