12 of our Japanese students, accompanied by our interns from the same university, came to the University of Mindanao to see how campus life is in Davao.

They were able to sit in and observe a translation class under the university’s AB English Language, Literature and Language Teaching program.

Afterwards, they went to the cafeteria and talked with students from the College of Arts and Sciences Education and College of Teacher Education to test their conversational skills. When asked about what she thought about having the visit, intern Philip said, “It was definitely a fun experience.

I loved seeing the look of excitement on out students’eyes whenever we introduce them to something new. Philippine universities all use English as their medium of instruction and I’m sure this experience was a great help to our students because it lets them use English in a very realistic setting.”
